SOCIAL INTERACTIONSocial interaction with peers gives a sense of support, belonging, and companionship, all of which contribute to improved emotional stability, self-worth, and reduced anxiety. We believe social interaction is imperative for the emotional well-being of special needs adults. That is why we strive to provide an environment that encourages meaningful friendships and connection. |
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENTWe strive to provide community involvement opportunities for our FÜN Club members. We believe these opportunities provide adults with mild to moderate intellectual/physical disabilities the ability to develop skills, and gain a sense of purpose and confidence while also helping our community. We currently partner with local non-profits like The North Gwinnett Co-Op, and Jambos by helping them sort, and organize their donated items.

PHYSICAL FITNESSPhysical fitness opportunities can drastically reduce the risk of or help manage chronic conditions in special needs adults. In light of this, we strive to provide several physical fitness opportunities through out the week by participating in weekly yoga sessions, Playball sessions, and a weekly session with D1 Athletics. Physical fitness activities provide a sense of accomplishment, as well as help improve motor skills, strength and endurance.

DAILY LIVING SKILLSObtaining basic life skills for adults with disabilities has been proven to help with living a healthier life as well as making better choices. Basic life skills allows for the development of self confidence and personal worth. We believe providing opportunities to develop these skills positively influences our members feeling of independence, and self-advocacy.
